I'm Todd, and I've spent a career in video and audio production. As a Gen X’er, I've lived the change from analog to digital and have always been an early tech adopter.
I’m also “HiMarty” for my parents, in-laws, and quite a few of their friends! I love the moment of relief or thank you text when I solve a problem for them.
Their generation values self-sufficiency, so I'll explain some of what I'm doing, often linking new tech to something familiar. I try to equip them with knowledge, like how to easily tell if an email sender is legit or a likely phishing scam.
That context builds confidence, and sometimes they solve the next one on their own and I get a text that says, “I fixed it!” followed by a string of emojis ❤️🤟📺🤪🇮🇹
